Emerging Technology
An example of emerging technology is in the Ipad because at first not many teachers use them in the classroom but once they become more popular teachers will start to use them more often. I would use the Ipad in the classroom because they are very easy to use, portable, and engaging. Students want to use them and that is a great way to stay involved.

Post 2, Audiovisual Technologies
Some examples of traditional audiovisual technologies would be overhead projectors or television. Some examples of emerging audiovisual technology would be cameras and computers. All of these devices could be used in the classroom for many reasons. For the traditional side of technology, overhead projectors could be used to show power points for everyday notes. Television can be shown for an educational movie that relates to the subject being taught. For instance a movie on Abraham Lincoln’s life before his presidency could be an option. On the other hand, emerging technology such as cameras and computers are similar. Cameras can be used to show pictures of trips to foreign countries if you are learning about the history of a long lost city. Pictures are a great visual. Computers also work very well in the classroom because students are able to do so much more on the Internet. The Internet is so expanded that we have to many opportunities with this emerging technology.

Post 1, Technologies in the classroom
After we discussed the information in class on Thursday, I am indifferent about having technology in the classroom. For example when our technology wasn’t working for the power point, it was just frustrating all together. But when technology does decide to work, it is very helpful. I feel technology can bring great things to the classroom and allow students and teachers to do so much more. For example, computers, projectors, and even headphones are all technologies that can be sued in class. The more digital technologies you have, the more dependent you become on them. The less you have, the more you become dependent on your own lectures and notes, and you don’t need to rely on other things. So I feel that a medium amount of technology is needed in the classroom.
